How to setup Linksys WRT 1900 AC router?

The Linksys WRT 1900 AC routers, as the first Wireless-G router, the WRT represented a true technological breakthrough with reliable hardware performance and customizable firmware that let router enthusiasts create features and share them with others. Additional with new latest features like, it has Gigabit LAN ports that allow for various wired attachments. A Gigabit WAN port also delivers an internet connection to this Linksys router. And an LED display on the front of the WRT1900AC makes it easy to understand what your router is doing. The Linksys WRT1900AC has generous venting, which helps to keep the device cool.

 



STEPS TO SETUP WRT 1900 AC ROUTER:-

1)    Connect power cable to the router’s power input, which is typically located on the rear.

2)    Power ON the router using its power button located in the back. And check that power LED should be ON.

3)    Connect computer, modem, and WRT 1900 AC router with the help of Ethernet cables. That is, we need to connect router to a wired connection.

Remember that for setup user is required to establish only wired connection.

4)    Place the router near the device to provide strong signal strength to the router. So that it can be configured without any problem.

5)    Login via any web browser at address: 192.168.1.1 or via Linksyssmartwifi.com.

6)    Use “admin” as username and Password to login.

7)    It will navigate you to the Smart setup Wizard page where you need to follow the on-screen instructions to install your router.

8)    After which you can easily configure and setup advanced settings on your router that are available in setup wizard dashboard.

 

In case, if you can’t access the router’s web based setup page, or you have forgotten the network’s Wi-Fi security key or any connectivity issues, you may need to reset the router to its factory default settings.
